PURPOSE:To enable a plurality of composition on recomposition of text data by providing a text record notification part, a page record matching table and a text record number storage part in a composition system. CONSTITUTION:A corresponding text record number is notified of to a composition processing part 4b by means of a text record notification part 4h based on an instructed page number. The composition processing part 4b processes compositions, while a page registration part 4i which adds a phase of text records to text data adds page numbers to composition data which has undergone composition processing and then stores said data into an composition data storage. In addition, a page record matching table 4j storing text record numbers of page numbers under which text data composed on prearranged pages fall and a text record number storage 4k storing the numbers of text records to be composed now are provided. Thus composition processing is performed keeping the pages and text records set in type in a matching relationship.
