PURPOSE:To make it possible to increase the strength of the connected portion and facilitate the positioning of a lid member by making connectable a connecting pipe connected to a connecting port on a flange extending from a side plate of a heat exchanger main body in the heat exchanger for hot water. CONSTITUTION:In a heat exchanger main body 1, a plurality of pipes 2 penetrating through a number of fins 3 are accommodated so as to slightly protrude from a side plate 4, and a flange 7 is protruded from the side edge of the side plate 4. A connecting port 8 of a connecting pipe 5 is formed at the flange 7. On the other hand, on the lid member 6 a side edge flange 9 overlapped on the flange 7 and an opening 10 opposing the connecting port 8, and a concave groove 11 communicating with a pipe end 2a and connected to the opening 10 extending sidewise are formed. Thus, the strength of the connecting pipe connected portion is improved, while the locating of the lid member can be facilitated and mounting thereof can be performed safely and firmly.
