PURPOSE:To always uniformize a heat radiation near the meniscus without reducing the heat radiation from the whole mold by adjusting the mold heat radiation near the meniscus by fitting heating elements, which are near the meniscus in the inside or at the back faces of cooling plates of the mold, by changing of electric current. CONSTITUTION:The heating elements 3 are arranged near the meniscus in the inside or at the back faces of Cu-made cooling plates 1, and the heating value by the plural heating elements 3 is adjusted by changing the electric current as transmitting to the current regulator 7, based on the result, which calculate the temps. measured by plural thermocouples 4, through a temp. calculating meter 8. In this way, as proper current is always turned on in the heating element 3, the temp. of near the meniscus position of the Cu-made cooling plate 1 is made to the prescribed temp. Therefore, the heat radiation near the meniscus of the Cu-made cooling plate 1 arranged on the mold frame 2 is uniformized.
