PURPOSE:To ensure the cutting of a work by deforming a pad with its compression, by providing the pad consisting of an elastic body on the lower die engaging hole and by making a gap between the inner peripheral face continuing to the upper blade and the outer peripheral face. CONSTITUTION:The press part 4a of a pad 4 is abutted to a flange Wa, when the upper die 2 is descended by setting a work W on the lower die 1. The outer periphery of the work W is then cut by the upper blade 7 of the inner peripheral edge on the lower face of the upper die 2 and by the lower blade 6 of the outer peripheral edge on the upper face of the lower die 1. The press part of the pad 4 ensures the pressing of the work W by increasing the compression reaction force with being deformed by compression by the gap 12 located between its outer peripheral face and the inner peripheral face at the opening part of the lower die engaging hole 3. The pad 4 is composed of the elastic body of an urethane, etc. and made with a cast method. The buckling of the pad 4 is prevented and the work W is surely pressed by using this trimming die and the durability of the pad 4 can be improved as well.
