PURPOSE:To shorten a data transfer time and to prevent the conduction of a temporary large electric current by providing a preamplifier to execute the necessary synchronizing action between a sub I/O line and a main I/O line to connect a sense amplifier with a main amplifier. CONSTITUTION:Between sub I/O lines 22-1, 23-1 and main I/O lines 24, 25 connecting a sense amplifier 20-1 with a main amplifier 21, a preamplifier is connected which is formed by transistors 40, 41 executing the synchronizing action of switches 34, 35 with a data enable signal phi3-1 controlling the switches 34, 35 to connect both lines, the transistors 40 and 41 in which a gate is respectively controlled by lines 23-1 and 22-1, a transistor 44 controlling the earth connection and so on. A small electric potential difference corresponding to the data from an amplifier 20-1 is amplified by the preamplifier and supplied through lines 24 and 25 to the amplifier 21. When the electric potential is amplified by the preamplifier, the line 24 or 25 at a low electric potential side comes to be a ground electric potential. Thus, the data transfer time are shortened and the temporary large electric current at the time of generating the electric potential difference in accordance with the data can be prevented.
