PURPOSE:To improve display resolution without varying the width of a pointer by making a display position different between a liquid crystal display when outside transparent electrodes are fed with electricity, and a liquid crystal display when inside transparent electrodes adjacent to the outside transparent electrodes are fed with electricity. CONSTITUTION:A transparent electrode has double structure composed of the (1st) outside transparent electrodes 2a and 2b and the (2nd inside transparent electrodes 5a and 5b, whose specific width is equal to the width tau of the 1st transparent electrodes 2a and 2b. The center point (p) of the specific width tau of the 1st transparent electrodes 2a and 2b and the center point (q) of the specific width tau of the 2nd transparent electrodes 5a and 5b are arranged shifting from each other and insulating films 6a and 6b which insulate the 1st and the 2nd transparent electrodes are provided between the 1st transparent electrodes 2a and 2b and the 2nd transparent electrodes 5a and 5b. Consequently, the display position is made different between the liquid crystal display when the 1st transparent electrodes 2a and 2b at, for example, a position X are fed with electricity and the liquid crystal display when the 2nd transparent electrodes 5a and 5b at a position Y adjacent to the 1st transparent electrodes 2a and 2b.
