PURPOSE:To provide superior magnetic characteristics to a thin strip formed by rapid cooling with a liq. by locally heating the strip in lines or dotted lines at least once before, during or after heat treatment at a temp. below the crystallization temp. CONSTITUTION:A thin amorphous Co alloy strip is formed by rapid cooling with a liq. and heat treated at a temp. below the crystallization temp. to manufacture a thin amorphous Co alloy strip for a magnetic core material. Before, during or after the heat treatment, the strip is locally heated in lines or dotted lines at least once to form crystallized regions.
