PURPOSE:To obtain a steel sheet for easily opened lid excellent in can- openability, by increasing S content of a steel sheet and by adding Ca and/or Zr so as to increase the amount of spheroidized MnS. CONSTITUTION:The steel sheet for easily opened lid has a composition consisting of, by weight, <0.1% C, <0.01% Si, 0.1-0.5% Mn, 0.03-0.1% S, <0.1% Al, <0.01% N, Ca and/or Zr, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities or further containing Nb and/or Ti. Moreover, in the above composition, the integrate value of X-ray diffraction intensity of the {111} plane parallel to the rolling surface of the steel sheet is regulated to six times that of random azimuth sample or below.
