PURPOSE:To prevent development of gap by pressing the following dam block to the precede dam block, by arranging a gear meshing with a guide rod of each dam block at just before holding the dam block by one pair of the upper and lower endless belts, to rotate at faster speed than the endless belt speed. CONSTITUTION:The gear 32 having an equal pitch tooth with a pinch 9 of the guide rod 19 of the dam block 5 is arranged at the inlet side of a mold. The gear 32 is meshed as a pin rack with the guide rod 19, to transmit a rotation torque of the torque motor 35. Then, as a tangential velocity of the gear 32 is set, so as to become a little faster than a shifting velocity of the dam block 5, at the time of meshing the guide rod 19 with the gear 32, the following dam block 5 is caught up with the precede dam block 5, to vanish the gap (g), existing before meshing.
