PURPOSE:To execute an automatic programming interactively and efficiently by determining a working classification from workpiece information inputted interactively, retrieving a corresponding tool from a tool magazine and displaying it at a display. CONSTITUTION:A machine tool main body 10 to be able to execute a drilling, and a numerical control device 30 including working a tool file memory part, a diameter input device, a tool selecting device and a working program preparing device are provided. First, a work piece material is interactively to a central processing unit MPU 391, the working classification is selected, and the necessary conditions of the drilling the surface working and the side surface working are set. In case of the drilling, respective types of the working hole are inputted based upon the manufacturing drawing. Thereafter, the MPU 391, when the equivalent tool is decided to be at a tool magazine 17, displays a tool control number, a tool name, etc., on display 33, and when the tool is not at the magazine, the tool of the range set by a tolerance parameter beforehand is retrieved by the magazine 17. Thereafter, the MPU 391 executes automatically the programming interactively.
