PURPOSE:The titled melt moldable copolymer, mainly containing phthalic acid units and specific two kinds of diamine units and having good thermal stability as well as fluidity at a molding temperature (250-380 deg.C). CONSTITUTION:A copolymer having (A) structural units expressed by formula I (R1 is 1-4C alkyl, alkoxy or halogen; a is 0-4), (B) structural units expressed by formula II and (C) structural units expressed by formula III [X is direct bond, -S-, -SO2-, -CO- or group expressed by formula IV (R2 is 1-4C alkyl, fluorine-substituted alkyl or phenyl) or formula V] as main essential structural units. The ratios of the respective units are as follows; 1mol total of the components (A) and (B) based on 1mol component (A) and 0.50-0.05mol component (C) based on 0.50-0.95mol component (B). The components (A) and (B) or (C) are alternately linked.
