PURPOSE:To obtain nearly spherical nylon powder with uniform particle size, by mixing nylon 6, calcium chloride and ethylene glycol and heating the resultant mixture to dissolve the nylon 6 followed by cooling. CONSTITUTION:(A) Nylon 6, (B) calcium chloride, and (C) ethylene glycol are mixed, the resulting mixture being heated to dissolve the component A followed by cooling, thus obtaining the objective nylon powder. Preferably, the concentrations of the components A and B in the reaction system are <=30wt% and 8-11wt%, respectively.
