PURPOSE:To supply a coil member to a press automatically, by disposing a stacker capable of moving in a direction normal to the direction to which the coil member is supplied at the supply side of a leveler feeder. CONSTITUTION:When the extreme end of a coil member C passes through the exit of a leveler 6, an insertion pinch roller 5 is opened for waiting a next coil member to be inserted. On the other hand, the bending property caused by winding of the coil member C is corrected and it is made flat by the leveler 6. The coil member C travels to a feed roller 8 through a loop controller 7. When the end of the coil member C arrives at the prescribed position of the exit of the feed roller 8, the feed roller 8 closes and the coil member C is fed to a press start position to start the operation of the press. When the tail end of the coil member C passes through the feed roller 8, the operation of the press is interrupted temporarily and the stacker 1 moves a little so that a second coil member C is positioned just below an uncoiler 2 and the free end of the coil member C is pinched by the insertion pinch roller 5 for feeding to permit the press to operate again automatically.
