PURPOSE:To enable easy identification with a coagulation image in a short reaction time, by making N-2-hydroxyethyl piperazine-N'-2-ethanesulfonic acid and a salt of ethylene diamine tetracetate to be contained. CONSTITUTION:A reagent for latex coagulation contains N-2-hydroxyethyl piperazine-N'-2-ethanesulfonic acid and a salt of ethylene diamine tetracetate. The N-2-hydroxyethylethyl piperazine-N'-2-ethanesulfonic acid is a buffer belonging to a Good buffer group called HEPES in general and the amount of HEPES used is preferably 0.01-1.0M in the concentration with respect to a reaction liquid comprising a liquid to be inspected, an antigen or antibody sensitized latex suspension and additionally a sample diluting liquid. The salt of ethylene diamine tetracetate (EDTA) herein used is a sodium salt, a potassium salt or the like of ethylene diamine tetracetate and the concentration of EDTA used is preferably 0.001-0.5M with respect to the reaction liquid.
