PURPOSE:To stably control the ratio and quantity of injection, by supplying an injection time control output as a correction signal to an injection quantity and ratio control system, and setting the responsiveness in injection time control to be lower than that in injection quantity and ratio control. CONSTITUTION:In a distribution-type fuel injector 1, a first and a second control sleeves 17, 20 fitted on a rotatable plunger 7 slidable in the axial direction thereof are displaced in the axial direction of the sleeves by electromagnetic actuators 18, 23 to control the quantity and ratio of injection of fuel. The time of the fuel injection is controlled by regulating solenoid valve 36 provided in a passage 31 which connects the right and left openings of a timer 26 to each other. The responsiveness of a third control system for regulating the solenoid valve 36 is set to be lower than those of a first and a second control systems for regulating the electromagnetic actuators 18, 23. The control output from the third control system is entered as a correction signal into the first and the second control systems.
