PURPOSE:To make it possible to have a stable combusiton for a long time even when a heavy crude oil is used for fuel by providing circumferentially a plurality of fuel supply openings on the lower circumferential wall of a pot at an equal distance among them and a change-over device which changes over fuel supply openings. CONSTITUTION:Fuel supply to a fuel storage section 5 which is located at the bottom section of a pot 1 is made from either a fuel supply opening 3A or a fuel supply opening 3B by changing over automatically or manually valves 31 and 32 periodially. With this arrangement the coke formed and piled near the fuel supply opening 3A at the bottom section of a pot 1 while the fuel is supplied from the fuel supply opening 3A, is burned and consumed by the combustion heat of a first combustion chamber 10 and part of the air introduced for combustion during the fuel supply from the fuel combustion opening 3B opposite to the opening 3A due to change-over of the fuel supply. It is, therefore, possible to maintain stable combustion for a long time even if heavy crude oil is used for fuel.
