PURPOSE:To save the man-power of operations by a method in which a regulat ing plate and a cover are set in a lapped state through a height regulative bolt on the head of a manhole, the height and inclination of the cover are adjusted, and concrete is placed between the upside of the head and the regulat ing plate. CONSTITUTION:A regulating plate 5 and a manhole cover 6 are set through plural height regulative bolts 4 on the head 3 of a manhole body 2. The height and inclination of the cover 6 are adjusted by the bolts 4 to a given value. The cover 6 is removed out, and a formwork 9 is set between the upside of the head 3 and the plate 5 to form an annular space 10. Concrete 7 is then placed into the space 10 and hardened, and the cover 6 is set on the plate 5.
