PURPOSE:To promote the reduction of power for a booster compressor, by controlling the pressure of air in an outlet side of the booster compressor, which supplies the compressed air to a gasifying furnace, in accordance with the pressure of the gasifying furnace. CONSTITUTION:A part of air, delivered from a gas turbine compressor 1, is pressurized in a booster compressor 5 and supplied to a coal gasifying furnace 10. An inlet pressure 15 to the gasifying furnace 10 is detected, and a value, in which a predetermined increase of pressure is added to the inlet pressure 15, is applied serving for the target value of outlet pressure of the booster compressor 5. In accordance with a deviation between said target value and a detection value 13 of the outlet pressure of the booster compressor 5, a control valve 7 for a booster compressor driving turbine 6 is controlled. In this way, since the booster compressor outlet pressure is prevented from being increased more than necessary, power for the compressor can be reduced.
