PURPOSE:To reduce a manual operation to prevent a failure in printing due to an error in paper reset etc., by a method wherein a device is provided with a function reversing a paper and reversing a character and character alignment and conducts a perfect printing on a slip-paper, not manually but automatically. CONSTITUTION:When a one-side/two-sides selection indicating button 12 is pressed, intake/discharge rollers 15, 16 rotate forward to suck-in a paper which was set into an intake/discharge port 11. When a paper detection sensor 17 detects the paper and a printing start is indicated, a printing/line-feeding operation is conducted by paper feed rollers 18, 19 and a printing head 21. After the completion of the printing/line-feeding operation; with a carry route switch-over valve in a condition shown by a dotted line (b), the paper is fed into a paper reverse-carry path 41 in a direction of an arrow 24 so that the printing head 21 can conduct thereon the printing/line-feeding operation, thereafter being fed in a direction of an arrow 31; with the switch-over valve 13 in a condition shown by a full line (a), the paper passes through a return carry path 42 to be discharged out of the insert/intake port 11.
