PURPOSE:To obtain the title apparatus improved in a tolerant range due to the effect of illumination irregularity and capable of corresponding to various hues, by separating a color difference signal and a brightness signal from an image signal and outputting binary signals under a condition entering a set range to discriminate various hues. CONSTITUTION:The lens 1 of a color TV camera 2 is adjusted so as to be capable of picking up the image of an object to be inspected and the hues of the object are indicated based on the set voltages V1-V6 of setting devices 6-8. When the image of the object is picked up by the camera 2, signals of brightness Y, color differences B-Y, R-Y, horizontal synchronism HS and vertical synchronism VS are separated to be inputted to window comparators 3-5 and a synchronous synthesizer circuit 11, and binary color difference signals S1, S2 and a brightness signal S3 are generated to be inputted to an AND circuit 10. When the set ranges of the respective signals coincide, a control signal S4 is inputted to the circuit 11 to generate a write and black image output signal S5 corresponding to a hue and said signal S5 is processed by an image processing circuit to display the image of an indicated hue on a white and black TV monitor.
