MANUFACTURE OF PIPE JOINT

PURPOSE:To easily cut the right angular part in the inside of a pipe joint into a semicircular shape, by using a tool of particular shape to make a linear motion and a rotary motion or rotating a work to be cut. CONSTITUTION:A taper cutter 4 is rotated in a high speed in a pipe joint main unit 1 which has a right angular part with a plastic made inner layer 2. A curved part 3 is cut by moving leftward the pipe joint main unit 1 so that its curved part 3 is brought into contact with an edge 5 of the taper cutter 4. Next the pipe joint main unit 1 is turned in the direction of an arrow head in the drawing for the paper cutter 4, and the curved part 3 is cut into a predetermined radius R by the edge 4 of the taper cutter 4 rotating in a high speed.
