PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain a desired character string though there is a large number of homonym candidates, by providing an AND conversion request part, an AND conversion additional condition input part, and an AND converting part. CONSTITUTION:A reconversion control part 7 sends an extracted character string, where Kanji (Chinese character) and Kana (Japanese syllabary) are mixed, to a reverse converting part 5, and a Kana character string is obtained there by reverse conversion and is sent to a Kana-Kanji converting part 3 for reconversion, and a character string where Kanji and Kana are mixed is obtained there by reconversion and is sent to a display part 2. When an AND conversion request is issued, a set of homonym candidates as results of reconversion and additional conditions inputted from an AND conversion additional condition input part 1d are sent to an AND converting part 6. The AND converting part 6 obtains a set of candidates other than said set of homonym candidates, which is outputted from the Kana-Kanji converting part 3 just before, on a basis of AND conversion additional conditions and performs AND conversion to operate AND between these sets, and AND conversion results are outputted to a reconversion control part 7 and are displayed on a display part 2.
