PURPOSE:To miniaturize the apparatus and to reduce the operational cost by arranging plural dust collecting hoods and dust collecting dampers possible to open and close near to a cutter table and opening and closing by switching in turns the dust collecting damper in dust raising range at the time of cutting the slab. CONSTITUTION:The dust collecting hoods 4a-4e, 5a-5e, arranging plural num bers toward longitudinal direction near to both the right and left sides of the cutter tables 1, 2 are equipped at the same pitch as rollers 1a, 2a respectively and also in each dust collecting hood, the dust collecting damper 6a-6e, 7a-7e is arranged as fitting to connect with preduster 10 through a main duct 9. At the time of cutting the slab A by the cutter, only the damper 6, 7 in the dust raising range is opened by turns to collect effectively the gas including dust. As the dust collecting efficiency is improved, the whole dust collector is miniatur ized and the operational cost is reduced.
