PURPOSE:To reduce useless supply of fuel which does not contribute the start of the engine to aim at enhancing the startability of an engine, by stopping fuel injection for a predetermined time from the time when the start of the engine is detected. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection amount setting means computes the amount of fuel injection in accordance with the operating condition of an engine based upon detection values from engine operating condition detecting means such as a rotational speed sensor, an air-flowmeter, a water temperature sensor and the like, and control the opening time of a fuel injection valve by a drive control means. When an engine start detecting means for judging the turn-on and-off of a starter switch detects the starting condition of the engine, a fuel injection stopping means delivers an output signal to the drive control means in order to stop fuel for a predetermined number of revolutions.
