PURPOSE:To make a layout performable so easily, by installing a pick-and-place unit which is opposed to an idle station and transfers a work from a work receiver at the receiving side to a work receiver at the delivery side. CONSTITUTION:When each work W is fed to two work receivers 17 by operation of a transfer bar 10, a pick-and-place unit is set in motion, and the work W on the work receiver 17 is transferred onto another work receiver 18. At this time, in order to adjust an interval of works W on the work receiver 17 to an interval of the work receiver 18, travel of each slider 20 is set up in advance. After the interval of these works W is altered, two works W are simultaneously transferrable on a work receiver 13 of a clamp device 15 by operation of the transfer bar 10.
