PURPOSE:To uniformly plate a material and to reduce the deformation of the material by forming a square or triangular barrel for circulating a plating soln., and forming narrow faces at the respective corners in the axial direction of the barrel. CONSTITUTION:A square or triangular barrel 1 is used for housing a small material to be plated. The barrel 1 has a mateiral discharge port 3 provided with a lid 3, and the window sashes 13 of the barrel 1 and the window parts are lined with porous sheets 14. The lid 2 is formed with a window sash 21 and a perforated plate 22 lining the window part. Narrow faces 15 are formed at the respective corners of the case 1 in the axial direction of the case. When a small material is put in the basket and the basket is rotated, the angle between the side is rapidly changed, hence the material is easily rolled, and a plating soln. is circulated on the inside and outside of the basket. Accordingly, the material is homogeneously plated in good yield.
