PURPOSE:To reduce pulsive noise in an audibly excellent way by giving a signal having a pulse width corresponding to a period in the presence of pulse noise as a control signal from the end point of time of the period in the presence of pulsive noise and giving a time delay nearly equal to the period of pulsive noise to an input audio signal. CONSTITUTION:A control signal generating circuit CSG detects the pulsive noise mixed in the input audio signal S1 and gives a signal having a pulse width tau corresonding to the period tau in the presence of pulsive noise as a control signal S2 from the end point of time of the period for the presence of pulsive noise. After the input audio signal S1 fed to an input terminal 1 is amplified by an amplifier 7 having a low output impedance, the result is fed to a delay circuit 8 and a 1st switch SW1. The delay circuit 8 gives a time delay tau nearly equal to the period tau for the presence of pulsive noise in the input audio signal S1 and outputs a retarded input audio signal S1d.
