CULTURE OF ANAEROBE AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To carry out culture of anaerobe without necessitating particular inert gas, by supplying a culture medium of anaerobe with deoxygenated air obtained from a culture medium of aerobe. CONSTITUTION:Deoxygenated air is produced by repeatedly contacting air with a liquid containing an organic waste and aerobes (single species or mixture of plural species). A anaerobe is cultured in a liquid medium supplied with the deoxygenated air. The organic waste is preferably a filtrate of cultured product or microbial cell produced by the culture of anaerobe or a material obtained by removing produced substance from the above cultured product.
