PURPOSE:To prevent an optical fiber arranged on the outside of a terminal case from being extruded into the case without generating a large pressure difference between the inside and outside of the case by filling the inside of the case with a liquid filler and fitting an outer pressure transmitting tool to the case. CONSTITUTION:The tip of an optical fiber 5 led out from an optical cable 1 in the terminal case 9 is connected to a ferrule 34 in an optical connector part 31. The inside of the case 9 is filled with the liquid filler 41 and the outer pressure transmitting tool 25 for transmitting the change of outer pressure into the case 9 is fitted to the case 9. Namely, outer pressure is transmitted to the liquid filler 41 in the case 9 through the tool 25 and the inner pressure of the case 9 is balanced with the outer pressure. Consequently, pressure acting on the optical fiber 5 stored in the optical cable 1 on the outside of the case 9 becomes equal to that acting on the optical fiber 5 in the case 9 and the optical fiber 5 in the optical cable 1 on the outside of the case 9 can be prevented from being extruded into the case 9.
