PURPOSE:To improve steering column supporting rigidity by installing the upper end part and lower end part of said steering column on a post bracket and lower mount bracket respectively. CONSTITUTION:A bracket 7a is joined to a dash upper panel 2 spreading over its rear face 2a and bottom face 2b, and a lower mount bracket 8A is joined to both side faces of the bracket 7a. A movement allowing space l1 for a dash lower panel 5 is ensured in between the front end part of the lower mount bracket 8A and the dash lower panel 5. A steering member 6A is fixed to the dash lower panel 5 and a dash side 4 via both side flanges 6a, 6b with increased strength, respectively, while being supported by an instrument stay 13 erected on a floor panel 12. And, the steering member 6A is provided in the vehicle width direction at the rear of the dash upper panel 2, and a post bracket 7A is installed on it. |
