An axial piston machine with a cylinder drum (5), in which pistons (11) are supported so that they are longitudinally displaceable, the respective piston rods (12) of which, each provided with a spherical head (13), are supported in the driving flange (2) of the driving shaft (1) of the machine, has a spherical surface (26) and a hollow spherical counter-surface (27), the common centre of which lies in the shaft axis of rotation (1) and the plane in which the centres of the driving flange-side spherical heads (13) of the piston rods (12) lie, and which align the cylinder drum axis on this centre. In order to create an adjustable axial piston machine, with cylinder drum (5) driven relative to the rotation of the driving shaft by a drive assembly, with simultaneous alignment of both axes of rotation on the driving flange centre point, it is proposed that the spherical surface (26) be formed on a hollow body (25), inside which the drive assembly, designed as a homokinetic joint (21), is arranged. <IMAGE>
