FIELD: measurement technology.SUBSTANCE: method of determining distance by means of camera is based on obtaining one video frame, obtaining camera calibration characteristics, selecting object on frame, distance to which is measured. Distance is determined based on object metric and angular dimensions. If object does not have regular shape, for example, smoke, then object model is created by several frames and determining distance to it based on object angular and metric displacement.EFFECT: invention result is enabling determining distance universal method using video camera to remote objects due to avoiding need for preliminary camera setting relative to its installation zone.29 cl, 2 dwg |
