Date Sep. 26, 1985.In a pneumatic tire having at least 3 zigzag grooves formed on the tread surace, in the zigzag groove (Ms) formed on the side of the shoulder portion, the ratio (Hs/W) of the point height (Hs) to the tread width (W) is adjusted in the range of from 2% to 4% and in the zigzag groove (Mc) formed on the side of the tread center portion, the ratio (Hc/W) of the point height (Hc) to the tread width (W) is adjusted in the range of from 6% to 10%, whereby the wet braking capacity of the pneumatic tire can be improved without reduction of the abrasion resistance of the tire.
