PURPOSE:To prevent excessive shaving in a corner part by interpolating data on offset curved surfaces expressing the moving points of tools in the corner part when the data on offset curved surfaces expressing the moving locus of machine tools is produced. CONSTITUTION:If 1st-3rd patches S(u,v)1-S(u,v)3 are connected in a coplanar point P(0)123 through coplanar boundaries COM12, COM23 a COM31 on condition that conditions for the continuity of adjacent planes do not hold, a discontinuous space SPC123 takes places where no offset curved surface data S(u,v)OFF1-S(u,v)OFF3 exist corresponding to the three patches S(u,v)1-S(u,v)3. Based on the offset curved surface data S(u,v)OFF1-S(u,v)OFF3 expressing points P(01)123-P(03)123 corresponding to the coplanar point P(0)123, intersection points R123 between planes pi(01)123-pi(03)123 formed with normal vectors n(0)123-n(03)123 are obtained, and they are interpolated as the offset curved surface data.
