PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of a copied image such as deterioration of an image density by chipping of a photosensitive body by adding the higher fatty acid ester obtd. by bringing oxy- or polyoxyethylene bisphenol A and higher fatty acid into reaction to a polyurethane resin at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:A material having compatibility with the urethane resin which is the base material of the cleaning blade for scrapping and removing the toner remaining on a photosensitive body which rotates in a fixed direction and has an org. photoconductive material on the surface is added to said resin to decrease the coefft. of friction of the blade at the time of preparing the above- mentioned blade to be brought into pressurized contact with the above-mentioned photosensitive body. More specifically, the cleaning blade is formed of the polyurethane resin prepd. by adding the higher fatty acid ester obtd. by bringing the oxy- or polyoxyethylene bisphenol A and the higher fatty acid into reaction at 0.1-10pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. polyurethane resin. The generation of the chipping and flawing of the photosensitive body and the adhesion of the toner thereto by melting is thereby prevented and the cleanability is improved.
