PURPOSE:To simply execute jobs each different in operation characteristics without changing already formed job control language by providing the titled system with a job operation characteristics defining means, a job operation characteristics holding means, a job operation characteristics reflecting means, etc. CONSTITUTION:The job operation characteristics defining means 2 receives input information in a job control language (JCL) storing area and job operation characteristics, and if there is no error in the job operation characteristics, converts the received data into a format which can be easily received by the job operation characteristics storing means 3. The means 3 inputs the converted operation characteristics and the information in the JCL storing area and stores the input data in a job operation characteristics storing area 8. When the start of a job is requested from a system, the job operation characteristics reflecting means 4 extracts the job JCL to be started from the JCL storing area in the area 8 and specified by the means 2 is detected during the processing of the JCL, the JCL is changed and processed in accordance with the stored job operation characteristics. Thus, a job having different operation characteristics can be simply executed without changing the formed JCL.
