PURPOSE:To extremely shorten the time needed for production and input of a ladder chart in such a case where the alternate output signals are repetitively used in the ladder chart, by registering previously an alternate program into a control memory in a sequence controller in response to a prescribed alternate output ladder language. CONSTITUTION:A control memory 3 includes a function program area 3a where an alternate program is registered in response to an alternate output ladder language to output an alternate signal for each input of a prescribed pulse. Thus, it is possible to simply produce a ladder chart used for sequence control together with simple input of said chart to a user memory 4 in order to improve availability of the memory 4.
