PURPOSE:To simply send a reply data to the sender side by storing a telephone number of an opposite communication equipment in receiving a data and sending the reply data to the communication equipment of a telephone number stored by a transmission command. CONSTITUTION:When a call comes from a telephone line 9, a network control unit (NCU) 8 switches the line from a telephone set 10 to a MODEM 7 in case of automatic reception to apply transmission/reception of a protocol signal with the sender equipment thereby setting the communication mode. In this case, the telephone number of the opposite equipment is recognized and the telephone number is stored in a RAM 3 together with the number and the reception date. Then the picture data is received and printed out. When a confirming button is depressed, a telephone number corresponding to the number is read from the RAM 3 and the telephone number receives dialing and the communication mode is set. Then a set original is read by a read section 6 and modulated by the MODEM 7 and sent.
