PURPOSE:To stabilize the signal level of an IC card by providing an input terminal for a control signal that validates or invalidates an input signal from the outside, which controls actions writing and reading a chip selection signal, a read signal, a write signal and data, and a control circuit in the IC card. CONSTITUTION:The IC card is newly provided with the control circuit 41 consisting of the input terminal 47 for the inverse of a control signal CTL and a logic circuit. Namely the control circuit 41 is constituted of an inverter 411 and AND gates 412-414, and the inverse of the control signal CTL is inputted to the AND gates 412-414 through the inverter 411. The inverse of the read signal OE included in the control signal is inputted to the AND gate 412, the inverse of the write signal WE to the AND gate 413, and the inverse of the chip selection signal CE to the AND gate 414. According as 'L' or 'H' of the inverse of the control signal CTL, the validity or invalidity of the inverses of the control signals OE, WE and CE can be selected.
