PURPOSE:To simplify operation without using complex key operations by comparing the expression of inputted voice with expression in a group of a transition table to recognize the voice and retrieving a control code based on the recognized result. CONSTITUTION:When a expression, e.g. 'UNDERLINE', indicating operation is inputted from a microphone 1, a voice recognizing part 2 successively extracts a voice reference pattern of the expression belonging to the group of a node n3 out of the transition table received from a code conversion part 3 from a storage part 6 based on the code of the node n3 stored in a register and compared and the code of 'UNDERLINE' is outputted as the recognized result. A code conversion part 3 retrieves a control code corresponding to the 'UNDER LINE' from a control code table based on the recognized result, outputs the control code, retrieves the code of a node n4 to be transmitted from a transition table and transfers and stores the code to/in a voice recognizing part 2 and a register in the code conversion part 3.
