PURPOSE:To permit the starting of an air cleaner with 'weak' mode, by a method wherein the current of 'strong' mode is conducted once when the air cleaner is started with the 'weak' mode. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a flow rate changeover switch 7 is transduced by a signal transducing circuit 28 and is inputted into the gate of a two-way thyristors 2-4, connected to the tap of winding of a motor fan 21. When a signal is outputted from the output terminal 9 of a signal transducing circuit 8, the signal is applied on the gate of the two-way thyristor 2 through a differential circuit, consisting of a capacitor 12 and a resistor 13, and the two-way thyristor 2 is put ON for a given time. The same signal from the output terminal 9 is applied on the gate of the two-way thyristor 4 through an integral circuit consisting of a resistor 15 and a capacitor 16 and a two-way thyristor 4 is put ON after a given time. According to this method, the starting of the title air cleaner may be started from the 'weak' mode.
