PURPOSE:To release the simultaneous blockage of foreign matters or marine living matters and spongy balls by the flow of high pressure water reverse to the time of the cleaning operation by introducing high-pressure water at the outlet of the call circulation pump into a pipeline on the suction side of a ball circulation pump of other system and the ball take-out pipe of a ball arrester. CONSTITUTION:A pump suction valve 10a and an outlet valve 11a of a ball recovering apparatus are respectively formed into a three-way valve, and a bypass line 14 connected to the other system is provided between both valves, separately from a ball circulation system 13. By the operation of the ball circulation pump 9a only cooling water is caused to flow from the outlet valve 11a of the ball recovering apparatus to the bypass line 14a and is introduced from the pump suction valve 10b of other system into the ball circulation system 13, whereby the flow the cooling water is reversed from the flow at the normal operation time, and foreign matters or marine living matters which have been caught at an amalgamating part 17b, a ball arrester outlet valve 12b, the tip end of the bent tube 16b of a ball take-out tube 7b, and stepped parts with in the tubes, pass through the ball arrester 6b and is caused to flow out to a water discharge path 18b.
