PURPOSE:To get rid of adjustment and replacement of a rear stopper after stopping a line as well as to make sheets continuously stackable, by installing such a device that adjust an elastic or damping coefficient of the rear stopper to optimum conditions in a moment with remote control according to conditions of the charging sheet. CONSTITUTION:In the state that a sliding collar 13A is projected to the side of a rear stopper 5, a coil spring 6A elastically supports this rear stopper 5, absorbing the impact of a sheet to be charged, but in the state that a sliding collar 13B is retracted, a spring 6B will not absorb the impact at all. Each sliding motion of these collars 13A and 13B is carried out by air cylinders 14A and 14B set up in the rear end, and an alteration of these coil springs in accord with conditions of thickness, weight and charging speed, etc., of the charged sheet is carried out by selecting such an air cylinder as driving the sliding collar, while drive of these cylinders takes place with remote control by a solenoid valve 15. Therefore, even if sheet conditions are varied in the midway, the alteration of a modulus of elasticity in these coil spring can be done in a moment without stopping a line, thus sheets can be stacked in succession.
