PURPOSE:To shorten a time required for I/O to/from a disk memory by utilizing a waiting time required until a sector to be accessed in the disk memory is reached to a position opposed to a head to make data in the disk memory coincide with data in a cash memory. CONSTITUTION:An I/O sector buffer is constituted of input sector buffers 4a, 4b and output sector buffers 5a, 5b. Thereby, access to respective sectors on the same track of the disk memory can be executed through both the sector buffers 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b on the basis of one I/O request supplied from a master processor and necessary access to the same track can be executed during one rotation of the disk memory. Even if access to respective sectors on the same track of the disk memory is optional combination of writing and reading, all accesses can be executed during one rotation of the disk memory.
