EXAMPLE:2-(4-Aminopyrimidine-2-yl)-2-tert. butoxycarbonylmethoxyiminoacetic acid. USE:A medicine. a synthesizing intermediate of novel 7-substituted 3-cephem-4- carboxylic acid expressed by formula VII (R<4>=R<2>) having excellent antimicrobial activity to wide pathogenic germs containing Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria and useful as an antibiotic. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II or salt thereof is reacted with a compound expressed by formula III or salt thereof in a solvent, preferably in the presence of an organic or inorganic base normally while cooling or heating to provided the compound expressed by formula I.
