PURPOSE:To prepare the titled cake having novel composition completely different from a cake impregnated with liquors and having unique taste and flavor matching with tendency toward Japanese style, by impregnating a sponge cake with a liquid mixture of SHOCHU (low class distilled spirit) and a syrup. CONSTITUTION:A sponge cake prepared mainly from egg, sugar and wheat flour is impregnated with a mixture of SHOCHU and syrup by brushing, immersion, etc., to obtain the objective cake.
