PURPOSE:To cast castings having different size under good energy efficiency by setting an inner cylinder having penetrating hole at upper part on a bottom plate of high pressure vessel to set a mold and casting under high pressure after closing the high pressure vessel while pouring molten metal in the inner cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The lower half part 1b of high pressure vessel 1 is laid on the bottom part 1c through a packing on the bottom plate 1c, the mold 3 having the prescribed shape and the inner cylinder 4 having the same cylindrical shape as the shape of mold 3 are set. Next, after pouring the molten metal 8 in the inner cylinder 4, the upper half part 1a of high pressure vessel 1 is laid on the lower half part 1b through a packing 6a, flange part 4a and packing 6b, to tightly close by clamping the die. Next, high pressure nitrogen gas is supplied through the high pressure gas supplying hole 2 and the inner part of high pressure vessel 1 is made to high pressure condition, to execute the pressurizing solidification. Then, the inner and outer pressure of inner cylinder 4 are become to the same by the through hole 7 of inner cylinder 4. In this way, even in case the shape of mold 3 is changed, as the inner cylinder 4 can prepare corresponding to the mold 3, the using quantity of molten metal may be reduced, and the energy efficiency is good.
