PURPOSE:To evaluate electrolytic corrosiveness and to obtain a conclusion in a short period by impressing a voltage to a sample which is immersed in an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A comb-shaped anode 2 and cathode 3 are so provided as to confront each other on the surface of a sample 1 by cladding copper to a laminate and etching copper foil if the sample is the laminate. The electrolyte 5 contg. electrolyte such as HCl is put into a vessel 4 and the sample 1 is immersed into the electrolyte 5. A prescribed DC voltage is impressed between the anode 2 and the cathode 3 by a potentiostat 6, etc. The evaluation of the electrolytic corrosiveness is executed, for example, by measuring the current flowing between the anode 2 and the cathode 3 by the potentiostat 6 while impressing the voltage therebetween and recording the change thereof with time by a recorder 7. The time until the current attains the prescribed value is measured and the evaluation is made by the varying measured value of the time. The evaluation is also possible by investigating the appearance of the sample after the anode and cathode are energized for the specified time.
