PURPOSE:To enable an efficient dust sucking process to be carried out by forming a bowl-shaped recess in the central area on the surface of the dust sucking sander in the caption, drilling a hole for attachment in its center and a plurality of hole around said attachment hole and also forming grooves toward the circumference from the recess. CONSTITUTION:Even through a polishing member 1 is used in a polishing work with an approximate slant angle staying in a range form 15 to 35 degree so that the sharpest circumferential portion of the sander can be used for polishing, for instance, paint film on the shell plate of an automobile, dust generated in the polishing work is forcibly led inward successively as if it is scooped in a recess 4 through grooves 8 formed slantly in the rotational direction and serving as its passage. Therefore, any delay of collection of polishing dust can be eliminated. Namely, the action of dust correction peculiar to this sander can aid the suction of an air intake device to immediately remove dust from a surface to be polished. This performance may reduce the chance of choking, generation of heat, accordingly eliminate any intertwined state of dust, thus enabling the dust sucking to be carried out efficiently.
