PURPOSE:To quickly demarcate a fault by comparing a fault information table by a master station, by providing a frame for demarcating a fault, providing plural routing tables being independent from a data frame, and using them alternately. CONSTITUTION:A control frame for demarcating a fault passes through each node A-G having a fault demarcating function and a communication line 108 in accordance with a route which has been set in the beginning, and demarcates a fault. The node A is master station for managing the whole network, and has functions of a transmission of a frame for demarcating a fault, a judgement of the generation of a fault, and poling to a non-answer node. The nodes B-G are slave stations, and receive the fault demarcating frame from the master station and return an answer to the master station. Also, in case the frame from the master station not come by monitoring a timer, it is decided that a fault has been generated before the own node, and it is informed to the master station.
